Get Started
Choosing a preschool or childcare facility for your child is an important decision, and the best way to decide whether Kids Crossing is a good fit for your family is to meet our director and teaching staff, tour our facility and experience the daily routines in our classrooms.
We are open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To schedule a visit, contact Katie Krug, Kids Crossing director, at kkrug@holycrossmadison.org, or call us at (608)-249-3101.
Enrollment Application
You can enroll your child at Kids Crossing even if you’re not a member of our church! If your family decides that Kids Crossing is right for your child, we will give you an enrollment folder that contains the following forms. You’ll need to complete and return those forms prior to your child’s first day of attendance. You can also download the forms from the links below.
- Enrollment and Health History
- Family Contract
- Child Health Report
- Immunization Record
- Intake Form for Children under 2 Years of Age
- Parent Agreement Form
Please note that the Child Health Report must be completed and signed by your child’s physician no later than 90 days after the first day of attendance.
Waitlist
If a spot for your child is not currently available, we will ask you to fill out our Waitlist Application form. There is no cost to be on the waiting list. Once a spot becomes available, we will contact the first person on our list. If you choose to continue with the spot available, you will continue with the enrollment process above.
Special Needs
At the time of enrollment, parents should notify their child’s teacher or the director if their child has any special needs (physical, emotional, social or cognitive). If a child develops a special need after enrollment, the parent should share this information with the teacher as soon as possible to ensure we continue to provide a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
Registration Fee
A non-refundable registration fee of $150 per family is required with a completed contract for pre-registration of your child or children. This could be for immediate enrollment, securing a place for an infant, or when a spot becomes available after being on the waitlist. The first week’s tuition fees are due on your child’s first day at Kids Crossing.
Holidays
Kids Crossing is closed for the following holidays each year: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Friday before Labor Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve.
If the holiday falls on a Saturday, the center will be closed on the Friday prior to the holiday. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, the center will be closed on the Monday following the holiday. Tuition is charged normally on the scheduled holidays.
Parent Meetings
A parent meeting will be held on a regular basis each month. These meetings are an opportunity for families to communicate their needs, interests and concerns and to share important updates regarding the care and education of their children.
