On Monday July 13th, Dane County and the City of Madison issued Order #8, which states every individual, age 5 and older, must wear a face covering that covers their nose and mouth when in any enclosed building where other people could be present.
The Latest on Pastors Wearing Masks
The new statewide mandate regarding mask wearing that goes into effect on Saturday, August 1 gives some exceptions for mask wearing. As it relates to pastors, the mandate states masks may be removed, "While a single individual is giving a religious, political, media, educational, artistic, cultural, musical, or theatrical presentation for an audience, the single speaker may remove the face covering when actively speaking. While the face covering is removed, the speaker must remain at least 6 feet away from all other individuals at all times."
At Holy Cross pastors will follow this practice for both services beginning this Sunday, August 2.
So, here's our new revised schedule:
-
Sunday, 8:30am service will be an in person and online service.
-
Sunday, 10:00am service will be an in person service.
-
Monday Evening 6:30pm will be an in person service.
