Annual Voters Meeting
Sunday, June 5 after the 9:00am Church Service
All voting members are encouraged to attend our annual voters meeting. Agenda items include:
-The 2022-2023 budget will be presented for adoption.
-Elections will be held for Boards and Committees
Lord's Supper Back to Normal
The Board of Elders and Worship Committee believe that it's time to return to distributing communion as we had prior to covid. Beginning Sunday, June 5 communicants will be handed the bread and wine by the pastors, and then be dismissed as a group. This will provide communicants a more personal application of the sacrament, as well as a time to ponder during the reception prior to being dismissed.
Endowment Fund
Thank you to those who have contributed to the Endowment Fund! How are we doing? As of May 13,
$21,375 has been donated. With the $21,375 match, the total amount added to the Endowment Fund
so far is $42,750.
The Endowment Fund was created in 1989 for Holy Cross to provide a perpetual source of income for
the congregation. Annually, the Endowment Fund Committee solicits suggestions from the various
church boards and committees on how the earnings for the year are to be spent. After reviewing the
requests, the Endowment Fund Committee presents the voters with a finalized request. There are
always more requests than can be funded in any one year. By increasing the Endowment Fund, more
projects will be able to be completed. Envelopes can be found in the Welcome Center and in your
church offering envelopes.
Thank You

Sunday, May 22 at 10:30am
Prayer: Lord God, heavenly Father, we thank and praise you for your great goodness in bringing these your sons and daughters to the knowledge of your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ, and enabling them both with the heart to believe and with the mouth to confess his saving name. Grant that, bringing forth the fruits of faith, they may continue steadfast and victorious to the day when all who have fought the good fight of faith shall receive the crown of righteousness; through Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE COMMITTEE FORMING
Holy Cross is looking for anyone who would like to volunteer time for light yard cleanup and ground maintenance around the Church building. This group would meet 2-3 times a year for general leaf clean out in the spring, deadheading plants mid-year, leaf clean up and cutting back plants in the fall. If you’re interested, even if you’ve let us know before, please send an email to Sherrie Oswald at sherrie2450@gmail.com. Include your name, phone number, email address, and weekday & time of availability.
GARDENING TOOLS NEEDED AT HOLY CROSS
As the new Landscape Committee forms, Holy Cross will be needing gardening tools for volunteers to use. If anyone has these tools, used or new, that you are getting rid of we would love to have them! Or, if you really want to donate but don’t have the time to work, buying a new tool to donate would be wonderful. Items needed most are leaf rakes, bushel baskets, garden rakes, brooms, large dust pans, and hand tools. Also, a small wagon to pull behind a lawn tractor would be nice. In the past someone wanted to donate a riding mower/garden tractor, we could use one for tasks on property if someone in the future wants to donate one. Please put the tools by the side door to the garage and then tell someone in the office. THANK YOU!
