Prayer for Peace in This Time of Turmoil

Heavenly Father, we ask You to watch over our nation during this time of turmoil.   Give wisdom to our government officials and calm to all involved in protests, that in peace we may resolve our differences, and all matters may be decided according to the laws of our nation, especially in keeping with Your will. Be with law enforcement as they seek to keep the peace. Let Your Word be our guide as we move into the future. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Teacher Call News

At the December School Board meeting, Emily Seeber was extended the Call to be the 6th grade homeroom teacher, teach upper grade departmentalized classes  and focus on a Spanish curriculum beginning next school year. She currently teaches at Salem in Milwaukee.  After deliberation, Emily has returned her Call to Holy Cross and will remain as a teacher at Salem Lutheran School.  The Holy Cross School Board will meet soon to issue to a Call for a new 6th grade teacher next year.   Please keep our school in your prayers!

Hebrews Bible Study

The 10:00am Bible Study began a study of the book of Hebrews on Wednesday, January 6th. If you are looking to join a Bible study and a Wednesday morning works for you, we think you will enjoy it. We meet in the church so that we can spread out. About 25-30 people are in attendance for this Bible Study.

Relocation Fund and Debt Reduction

This year we completed our Relocation fund raiser and exceeded our pledged goals.  Thank you to our loyal faithful members.  Some of you continue to contribute to our Relocation Fund and we appreciate your gifts.  Since the campaign has finished, we will be channeling those continued gifts into our Debt Reduction fund.  This gives us the opportunity to annually pay down the principal on our mortgage.  For those that have completed your Pledge to relocation, please consider contributing to our Debt Reduction account and starting in January you will see that option on our offering envelopes and automated giving.
